Journal 2002 - Kamakura

I went to this fascinating place on Sunday. I got a late start and ended up going to just two temples. One was the one with the giant Buddha. It was very interesting and I bought a blank book and each Buddhist temple has a priest that will stamp and do calligraphy in your book.
We were back in Tokyo going to go to a store and got to the subway station and did not know what direction to go in or how we were to get to the store. A young lady of about 23 stopped and asked if we needed help. She said she was going to shop at that store and would take us there. It ended up quite a few blocks form the subway. Anyway, when we got there she set a time to lead us back to the subway. When she met back up with us, she had a small gift of a tiny teddy bear for each of us.
