PUBLIC NOTIFICATION FOR WRITTEN QUOTES
AUDITORIUM ACCESSIBILITY WEST BOYLSTON MIDDLE–HIGH SCHOOL

West Boylston Public Schools, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from Contractors for Auditorium Accessibility at the West Boylston Middle-High School in accordance with the documents prepared by Nault Architects, Inc.
The Project consists of pouring concrete to level a portion of the auditorium to create an accessible seating area for wheelchairs, and related interior finish work.


The work is estimated to cost $24,800.00


Quotes are subject to M.G.L. c.149 §44A (2)(B) and to Massachusetts prevailing wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.149 §§26 to 27H inclusive, as determined by the Commissioner of Labor and Workforce Development and the weekly payroll record submittal requirements.


DCAMM Certification is not required.
Quotes will be received until 2:00 p.m., on 03/06/24 and opened forthwith.


All quotes should be delivered to the Superintendent’s office at the West Boylston Middle-High School, 125 Crescent Street, West Boylston, MA 01583.


Quotes shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (considering all alternates), in the form of CASH, or, CERTIFIED CHECK issued by a responsible bank or trust company and made payable to West Boylston Public Schools. The bidder agrees that its bid shall be good and may not be withdrawn for a period of 30 days, Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays excluded, after the opening of the bids, or the bid bond will be forfeited.
Bid Forms and Contract Documents will be available on February 14,2024 at the Superintendent’s Office located at 125 Crescent Street between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.at 8:00 a.m. or as an electronic copy which may be requested by emailing Cristy Morrison at cristymorrison@wbschools.com Questions will be taken starting on February 14, 2024 through February 21, 2024 via email to cristymorrison@wbschools.com Vendors can view answers in Commbuys on February 29, 2024.


Bidders requesting Contract Documents to be mailed to them shall include a separate check for $10.00 per set, payable to the Awarding Authority, to cover mail handling costs.


The auditorium will be available for inspection at 9:00 AM on Thursday, February 28, 2024. Contractor’s should meet at the main entrance of the school. This pre-bid meeting is not mandatory, but will be the only time available for bidders to see the site.


Selection of the contractor will be based upon bidder qualifications, including evidence of past performance in similar projects, and bid price. The contract will be awarded to the bidder deemed by the awarding authority to be the lowest responsible and eligible bidder.


The Town reserves the right to waive any informalities, to accept or reject, in whole or in part any or all bids, or take whatever other action may be deemed to be in the best interest of the Town.
